 When a capacitor compensates for capacitive reactive power,it is often affected by harmonic currents,closing inrush current and operating overvoltage causing damage to the capacitor and reduction of the power factor. For this reason,a series reactor needs to be installed a the front end of the capacitor.Resist and absorb harmonics,protect capacitors,avoid the influence of harmonic voltage and current and impact voltage and current,improve power quality,increase system power factor,extend capacitor life,and ensure safe operation of the power grid.
